Animalia Consulting S.L. develops and maintains the Zoometrics suite, a platform for managing urban biodiversity data in the service of public administrations. Our customers’ trust rests on the security of the information we handle. For that reason, Management makes the following public commitment, in line with Real Decreto 311/2022, de 3 de mayo, por el que se regula el Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (Spain’s Royal Decree 311/2022 of May 3 regulating the National Security Framework, ENS), and with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Scope of the declaration of conformity. The information system that supports the corporate websites published at zoo-metrics.com, meowmetrics.com, wild-metrics.com, censusmetrics.com, ark-metrics.com and silvametrics.com (public information and contact forms), including the form reception service hosted at zoo-metrics.com, underwent a self-assessment on October 9, 2026, under Real Decreto 311/2022 (Royal Decree 311/2022), which found that it meets the requirements applicable to the basic category. This is stated in the declaration of conformity (in Spanish) dated October 9, 2026.
1. Our commitment
To protect the confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity and traceability of the information and services we provide.
2. Principles we apply
- Comprehensive security: security is part of the entire life cycle of our systems, from design to retirement.
- Risk management: we analyze and treat risks continuously and review them at least once a year.
- Least privilege: each person accesses only what they need, with reinforced two-factor authentication.
- Continuous monitoring: we supervise our systems and log their activity to detect and respond to incidents.
- Prevention, detection, response and recovery in the face of any security incident.
- Continuous improvement of our security management system.
3. How we do it
- We encrypt information in transit.
- We train and raise awareness among our team on information security at least once a year.
- We keep backups.
- We manage security incidents according to a defined procedure and, where appropriate, in coordination with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
4. Protection of personal data
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (Spain’s Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights). Data subjects can exercise their rights by writing to info@zoo-metrics.com , as detailed in our Privacy policy.
